ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Meet Gabrielle

The Scrap & Yap Community

My Journaling Journey

Gabrielle is the founder of Scrap & Yap Club. She started this community to bring together creative people who love journaling, paper scraps, art and storytelling. Scrap & Yap was born from the idea that journaling can be even more meaningful when it's shared with others.

My Journaling Journey

The Scrap & Yap Community

My Journaling Journey

I've always loved collecting little pieces of life. From 20 year old movie tickets to cards from my 5th birthday, I keep it all. When all my precious memories became too fragile to move around by themselves, incorporating them into my journaling became an amazing way to preserve those memories and turn everyday moments into something creative.

The Scrap & Yap Community

Scrap and  Yap is more than just journaling, it's a space where people can slow down, get creative, challenge perfectionism and connect with others who love memory keeping and crafty chaos.

Whether you're new to journaling or have been scrapping for years, everyone is welcome here.

ABOUT SCRAP AND YAP

What Is Scrap and Yap

Scrap and Yap is a cozy creative club for people who love making art, would like to start, or journal lovers who want a community close to home.

Monthly, we gather around tables filled with supplies to junk journal, scrapbook, decorate pages, and share ideas. It’s a space where creativity is playful, imperfect, and shared with others.

You don’t need experience or a perfectly curated journal. Just bring your curiosity and creativity!

what happens at a meetup

Meetups are relaxed and cozy, where people gather to create, chat, and connect freely.

At a typical meetup you might:

- work on a junk journal or scrapbook spread at a cozy creative table

- experiment with stickers, washi tape, and layers of paper scraps

- open an included themed goodie box filled with journaling supplies and surprises

- chat, laugh, and share ideas with other creative people

- try prompts or themed journaling activities designed to spark inspiration

There’s no pressure to be perfect — the goal is simply to enjoy creating.

the scrap and yap philosophy

At Scrap and Yap, creativity isn’t about perfection.

It’s about layering, experimenting, making mistakes, and enjoying the process. Whether your journal pages are messy, colorful, minimal, or overflowing with stickers, every creative style is welcome.

Around here we believe three things. Creativity grows in community, beautiful pages can start with scraps, and the best ideas come while yapping!
